Diocesan Commission

The Southeast Texas Archdiocese, also known as the Southeast Texas Central South Archdiocese, is apostolically commissioned and officiated by Cardinal Bobby Land Jr., Archbishop of Tyler, who is in full communion with the St. Land Temple Old Catholic Communion as well as the Apostolic Communion of Anglican Churches. Established in 2014, the Southeast Texas Archdiocese is consecrated and recognized as an autonomous province with its own governing structure and primate (Bishop). This Episcopal Archdiocese aims to foster dialogue among the Anglican Church, the Orthodox Church, and the Roman Catholic Church. As a member of the global Anglican communion, the Southeast Texas Central South Archdiocese was founded by those dedicated to preserving the traditions of the Anglo-Catholic Church and is part of the wider global community that includes Anglican, Orthodox, Old Catholic, and Roman Catholic congregations. The Most Reverend Dr. Bobby Land Jr. serves as the Cardinal Archbishop of the United States and is the Metropolitan See of the Tyler Province.
